TOMY is recalling Boon PIVOT collapsible toddler tower kitchen step stools because the towers can tip over while in use, creating a risk of serious injury or death from falls.

The recall was announced July 16, 2026, by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. TOMY says caregivers should stop using the recalled PIVOT toddler tower immediately, store it away from children and register for a free repair kit.

Which toddler towers are included

The recall applies to Boon PIVOT toddler towers sold in gray and white. CPSC says the metal and plastic towers measure about 22 inches wide, 23 inches deep and 35 inches tall. The word "boon" is visible along the top rail, and a warning label is visible along the side of the standing platform.

TOMY's recall page lists gray PIVOT SKUs B11437, B11437A, B11437A1 and B11437A2, with UPC 669028115679. The white PIVOT SKUs are B11578, B11578A, B11578A1 and B11578ME, with UPC 669028115785.

Where they were sold

CPSC says about 116,908 units were sold in the United States, with about 2,033 more in Canada. The towers were sold online at Target.com, Amazon.com and Babylist.com from January 2023 through June 2026 for around $150. TOMY's recall page says the broader voluntary recall also affects products sold in Canada, Europe and parts of the Middle East.

What to do now

Do not let a child keep using the tower while waiting for the remedy. TOMY says there is no need to return the PIVOT toddler tower. Instead, affected consumers should register for a free repair kit with weighted stabilizers, screws, nuts and written installation instructions.

CPSC says TOMY is aware of 11 U.S. reports involving the towers being unstable, shifting or leaning. No injuries had been reported as of the recall notice. Health Canada says there were no Canadian incident or injury reports as of July 9, 2026.

What to check

Look for the product name, color and SKU before registering. If the tower was bought online, order history from Target, Amazon or Babylist may help confirm the purchase, but the physical product details still matter. Until the stabilizing repair is installed, store the tower where children cannot climb on it.
