If a Trend Deploy refund check lands in your mailbox this month, do not treat it like junk mail, but do not respond blindly to a text, email or phone call about it either. The Federal Trade Commission said on July 22, 2026 that it is sending more than $672,000 to consumers harmed by Trend Deploy's deceptive marketing, with 9,419 checks being mailed.
The short answer: a real FTC refund program should be listed at ftc.gov/refunds, and the Trend Deploy entry currently names JND Legal Administration as the refund administrator with 1-833-609-9714 as the contact number. The FTC says affected consumers should cash their checks within 90 days, as indicated on the check.
Do this first
Type ftc.gov/refunds into your browser yourself. Do not use a link from an unexpected email, text message or social post. On the FTC refund page, find the Trend Deploy Refunds entry and compare the administrator name and phone number with the information on your check or letter.
If the case, administrator or contact details do not match, pause before depositing the check or giving anyone information. The FTC says refund programs list the case name, the company issuing payments and a phone number for questions. That public listing is the safest starting point.
What should raise a red flag
The FTC says it never requires people to pay money or provide account information to receive a payment. That means a request for a fee, wire transfer, gift card, cryptocurrency payment, online banking password or full account number is not a normal step in getting an FTC refund.
Be careful with messages that create urgency, ask you to click a shortened link, claim a refund will disappear unless you act immediately, or tell you to move money to receive a payment. The agency also warns that scammers impersonate the FTC and may pretend to be connected to a real settlement.
What the Trend Deploy checks are about
The FTC case involved Frank Romero, the operator of Trend Deploy. The agency said it charged the online marketer in 2021 with falsely promising quick delivery of face masks and other protective equipment during the COVID-19 pandemic, then failing to deliver orders or offer cancellations or refunds. The July 2026 payments are the refund stage of that enforcement case.
For recipients, the practical point is narrower: verify that your payment belongs to the official Trend Deploy refund program, use the public FTC page to confirm the administrator, and follow the deadline printed on the check.
